- taylor's current morning regimen -
Hi guys and gals, it's Taylor here. I am founder and CEO of Maude skincare & lifestyle. Today I'm going to share with you my intense and obsessive morning routine, even though it's not even HALF as bad as my nightly routine, so watch out for that bad boy.
First off, before I even begin washing my face, I wash my hands. It is SO important to do this, otherwise you're rubbing dirt and oil around on your face, which completely contradicts what you were meant to be doing, so wash those suckers!
- MORNING -
cleanse with Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water
micellar water is amazing for your skin, and it thankfully requires no actual washing. Dap some on a cotton pad and it takes off all traces or makeup, dirt, or oil without the harshness of a cleanser.
the Ordinary is one of my favorite brands, as they are extremely effective while having basement prices. I let that one nearly settle in my skin all the way, and the repeat the process with our Vitamin C serum.
I add this in the winter when my skin is dry. It's a great extra layer of moisture while also getting rid of breakouts.
I tend to breakout when I pick at my skin, which is a habit I'm desperately trying to break! This stuff kicks blemishes' butts overnight, I swear by it! Use once a day if you have drier/sensitive skin.
This stuff feels more like a serum, and you don't get that thick, chalky feel that typical sunscreen gives.
I cannot rave about this product more, I really do recommend it to any person I ever come into contact with. It's moisturizing, helps with scarring, pigmentation, acne, and is even anti-aging. It completely does everything you can dream of! I always thought I had oily skin, but I realized I was stripping my skin of the natural oil. Once I incorporated oil, my skin became normal and I never have breakouts.
YES you read that right. Prep-H as in hemorrhoid cream. I kid you not, it is by far the greatest product for puffiness. Something in my genetics causes dark circles and puffiness under my eyes, regardless if I slept 5 hours or 12 hours. I put this on every morning and by the time I get to work, the puffiness is GONE.
This hydrating and refreshing spray smells like the fanciest spa you'll never be able to afford. It is somehow so cooling all the time, and awakes your tired, dull skin.
I recently discovered this magical product when I was preparing for a 30 hours flight to Bali. I had read of eye gels on every beauty website, and decided to try them out for myself because the one thing I really need help on are my eye bags. Now, I'm addicted. I use them everyday at work while my coworkers make fun of me for the hour I wear them.
Now, that may seem a lot to some people, but I know people who use closer to 20 products alone. Yes, 20. Granted, this routine alone takes an hour if you include how long I leave my eye gels on.
What's your morning routine? Do you prefer an intense routine or simple?
