- Maude's Dermastamp (The Dermaroller 2.0) -

We are thrilled to launch our newest product, the .50mm dermastamp!

WHAT IS IT:

Dermastamps are an innovative skincare tool made of dozens of sterling silver needles that improve acne scars, hyperpigmentation, skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles. What it does: Like the dermaroller, the needles puncture the epidermis, causing your skin to repair and regenerate itself, creating more collagen. This in turn works wonders on acne scars, filling in fine lines and wrinkles, and treating hyperpigmentation. As a bonus, it allows up to 200x more absorption of the products you use immediately after dermastamping. As long as you follow the instructions carefully, they will not hurt nor damage your skin, so enjoy right away!

Essentially, it is the better version of the dermaroller. They do the same thing: create micro-injuries in the skin, telling your skin to regenerate and produce new collagen, giving you youthful, taut skin. The biggest difference: the dermastamp does not roll. When using a dermaroller, there is less of a precise insertion of the needles into the skin. With the dermastamp, you are getting the most precise insertion, and there is no risk of any tearing of the skin because it’s being entered at a 90 degree angle. See graphic below.

What’s the big deal? How safe and effective it is. While we still recommend dermarollers for the body, as we have much thicker skin on our bodies than we do facial skin, we’re eventually going to be using dermastamps solely as our tool of at-home microneedling. Another bonus? The dermastamp is a LOT less painful than the dermarollers, so come one, come all!

We took the concerns of estheticians and consumers alike and bring to you the dermastamp. The safer, more effective way of giving you better skin! The needles press down evenly across your skin.

HOW TO USE:

Before treatment, soak needles in at least 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol), for a full 15 minutes. Rinse with hot water and lay out to dry on a clean paper towel. Remove makeup and cleanse your skin with your regular facial cleanser. Tone with an alcohol-free tone to ensure there is no bacteria on the face.

Using your favorite serum (we suggest Vitamin C or Hyaluronic Acid), begin stamping across your forehead, the temples, down your cheeks and along the jawline, across your chin, above your lip, and up towards your nose and in between the eyebrows. Be especially careful under and around the eye. If you want plumper lips and a smoother neck, don’t forget your lip and neck area. Stamp these areas at a quick rate in a one-inch by one-inch piece, similar to how you Dermaroll.  Stamp about 5-10x in each place. Rub in more of the serum. Follow up with pressing your normal moisturizer or non-comedogenic oil into your skin. Sterilize your tool again for another 15 minutes in rubbing alcohol. Pat to dry and store in package.

Post-Treatment: Your skin will be sensitive after stamping, so wear a generous amount of sunscreen and avoid the sun, heat, and strenuous activity that would make you sweat. It is recommended you dermastamp at night, because you must avoid makeup up to 8 hours after stamping. That same night, do not put on any active ingredients (think retinols, AHA/BHA, Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, and the like) you may use in your normal routine. Avoid these products for a few days, until your skin has fully recovered.

NOTES:

·         Do NOT use your dermastamp over active acne, as it can potentially spread bacteria from your breakouts over your face.

·         Extra tip: “puff” your cheek up, so it’s a firm base to stamp.

·         Your skin will be slightly red and more sensitive after treating, so wear SPF and always avoid the sun!

·         It is pertinent that you sterilize your dermastamp 15 minutes before treatment, and 15 minutes after treatment in 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol).

·         This tool should be used on one person and one person only.

WHICH SERUM SHOULD I USE?

This all depends on what your goals are. If you have hyperpigmentation or want overall brightening and maintenance, Vitamin C is the best choice for you. It helps improve skin damage, collagen production, discoloration, inflammation, and healing. Suitable for all skin types.  For those who are concerned with aging, any serum with hyaluronic acid is your best friend. It helps with collagen production, plumping of the skin, healing scars, wrinkles, and other typical aging signs. Suitable for all skin types. Good news! ALL of our serums are made with hyaluronic acid, and all of these serums are suitable for dermastamping.

HOW OFTEN CAN IT BE USED:

With proper sterilization and pre and post-care, treatment can be done 2-3 times a week.

What do you think? Are you ready to give it a try?
